When will the new schedule come into force?
All government schools will follow the revised winter schedule starting October 15. According to the notification issued by the School Education Department, schools will now start at 8:45 AM and the regular school day will end at 2:45 PM. Government School Timings Changed: A slightly different schedule will be followed on Fridays to accommodate Friday prayers. On that day, schools will dismiss students earlier, with the day ending at 12:45 PM. Special Timings for Double Shift Schools
For schools operating on a double shift system, the first shift will now end at 12:45 PM on regular days, while on Fridays, the first shift will end by 12:00 PM. The second shift will work from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on regular days, ensuring a smooth transition between shifts. On Fridays, the second shift will start at 2:00 PM and continue until 5:00 PM, giving students plenty of time for prayer and school activities.
