Livestock Kisan Card has also been launched in Rawalpindi Division by Punjab Government on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The purpose of this card is to provide financial assistance to livestock farmers. So that they can take better care of their livestock and increase their income. Under the direction of Punjab Secretary Livestock Saqib Ali and Director General Livestock Dr Muhammad Ashraf, Director Livestock Rawalpindi Division Dr Naveed Sahar Zaidi has started an awareness campaign in all districts. So that more and more farmers can benefit from the benefits of this card.
Awareness banners have been put up at all veterinary hospitals and dispensaries in Rawalpindi Division. And special front desks have also been set up to guide farmers. Through this facility, farmers are being provided with information on how to obtain and use the card. The objective of the campaign is to facilitate the process of obtaining credit for farmers to purchase fodder, mineral compounds. And medicines for their livestock.
Latest Update About Livestock Kisan Card
Under the Livestock Kisan Card, cattle rearing brothers can avail interest-free loans ranging from Rs 1,35,000 to Rs 2,70,000 for their cattle. These loans will be provided by Bank of Punjab, and there will be no additional markup on them. This facility will help farmers to take care of their livestock without additional financial burden, thereby improving their productivity.
Moreover, from November 5, 2024, the Chief Minister is also launching a mobile application of Punjab Livestock Card through which farmers will be able to register easily on their mobile phones. This application will make the registration process easier and faster for farmer. And they will be able to avail the benefits of this card immediately.

Launch of the Livestock Kisan Card in Rawalpindi Division
