KPK Taleemi Card Program
Great news from the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur for the children who are studying. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has provided a wonderful opportunity for students by issuing an “KPK Taleemi Card” on the model of a health card. The aim of this program is to improve the quality of education in the province. And make it possible to provide quality education to the children of the backward areas. Initially, 40,000 children will be eligible to get free education in private registered schools through this Taleemi card.
In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur, an “Educational Emergency” was declared for the promotion of education in the province. According to this decision, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become the first province in the country to issue education cards on the pattern of health cards. In the initial phase, the card will be issued in nine backward districts of the province. Including the districts of Upper and Lower Kohistan, Kollai Pals, Torghar, Upper and Lower Chitral, Tank, and South Waziristan.
Through Taleemi card, the children of these districts will be able to get free admission in private registered schools. While the children enrolled in government schools will also be given a monthly stipend of Rs. In addition, a monthly stipend of Rs 500 will be given to girls of classes 6 to 10. Which will benefit more than five and a half lakh girls in the province. The provincial government will spend 3.1 billion rupees annually on these incentives.

Taleemi Card Implementation in 9 Backward Districts of KPK
To start Taleemi card program, education cards will be issued in nine backward districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These districts include:
- Kohistan Upper and Lower
- Coli palus
- Torghar
- Chitral Upper and Lower
- Tank
- South Waziristan Upper and Lower
This first phase will focus on areas that need the most educational support. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said, adding that we will gradually expand the Taleemi Card across the province so that all children benefit from the program.
Financial Support for Girl Students
The Taleemi card will provide direct financial assistance to female students, especially those studying in government schools. Every girl from grade 6 to 10 will get a monthly stipend of Rs 500. The move is expected to help families overcome financial challenges, especially in rural areas where girls often face barriers to education.
Free Textbooks and Scholarships for Talented Students
The Taleemi Card program offers important benefits to students, especially the talented ones. Under this program, all students from grade 1 to 12 will receive free textbooks. Ensuring they have access to essential learning materials. Around 5 crore children are expected to benefit from this.
Moreover, the government will provide scholarships to outstanding students through ETA Scholarships, supporting 506 bright students in their educational journey.
