Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has created a new history by introducing the first “Chief Minister Dialysis Program Card” in the country’s history. Under this programme, the amount has been increased to Rs 10 lakh, increasing the funds for the treatment of dialysis patients. The aim of this revolutionary initiative is to provide complete medical facilities to patients suffering from kidney diseases.
In the special meeting, the Chief Minister directed to continue the dialysis of the patients in any case and decided to establish more dialysis units. Patients from other provinces are also benefiting from this facility in Punjab, while free medicines and treatment are being delivered to Sindh, Balochistan and other areas. The Punjab Healthcare Commission has been directed to ensure implementation of SOPs in all dialysis centres.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was furious over the spread of AIDS among dialysis patients in Multan and issued orders for immediate action. He said that stopping dialysis on the pretext of lack of funds is unacceptable. In addition, PIC-2 was ordered to build a modern hospital and provide advanced technology and trained specialists for the treatment of heart diseases.

Under this program, Rs. 850,000 has been designated for dialysis treatments and an additional Rs. 150,000 for essential tests for each patient battling kidney-related ailments.
