Expansion of BISP’s Core Programmes: Kafaalat, Taleemi Wazaif, and Nashonuma

BIS Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid provided updates on the three major programs of BISP. That Benazir Kafaalat, Benazir Taleemi and Benazir Nashonuma program will be further updated. She said that currently 9.3 million families are benefiting from Benazir Kafaalat program.

She also announced Benazir Kafaalat plans to increase both the number of eligible families and the stipend provided, which provides financial assistance to low-income families.

Benazir Taleemi: This program offers Wazaif aimed at encouraging education for children. To help poor families send their children to school.

New Banking Model for Transparent Fund Distribution

Senator Khalid disclosed that a new banking model has been introduced to ensure dignified and transparent disbursement of BISP funds. This model is designed to prevent problems and streamline the process of providing financial assistance to deserving women. Special directives from both the President and the Prime Minister have guided the development of this new system, which aims to eliminate corruption and delay.

BISP Mobile Registration Vans for Remote Areas

Recently, BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid and BISP Director Naveed Akbar held a meeting to launch BISP mobile registration vans in remote areas of Balochistan, Sindh and KPK. are There are no tehsil offices of BISP in these remote areas and the poor people living there face a lot of difficulties in registering with BISP. And there are many deserving people who are deprived of financial assistance of Rs.10500.

Recognizing the challenges of reaching remote communities, BISP has introduced mobile registration vans to facilitate registration of eligible persons. These vans travel to hard-to-reach areas, making it easier for women to access BISP services.
